>Rio Dulce aka sweet river

>Names always have a reason.

Rio Dulce.  The most secure place for yachts during a hurricane in the Caribbean.  A haven for manatees.  A place where 7 yr old little girls paddle dugout canoes.  Heck, everyone paddle’s dugout canoes.

Under water caves.  Natural hot springs.  The river is fed by Lago Izabal, the largest lake here in Guatemala which has a castle guarding it’s entrance.  They didn’t want pirates 500 years back in Captain Morgan’s day.

And just the beginning of Guatemala for me!  Not that I’m excited or anything, but my friend Anna comes in less than 48 hours!!!!
