3000 miles into Jax Beach!

We FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

51 days total.  45 days pedaling.  8 states.  1083 miles in Texas.  1 National park trip.  Countless dog chases.  5 snakes.  1 broken camera.  1 dead phone.  8 flat tires.  1 crash.  2 hitchhiking successes, 1 failure.  2 ferry rides.  150 KIND granola bars.  5 days of sand storms.  3 Florida thunderstorms.  1 Police escort.  2 hotels.  3 bottles of sunscreen.  1 pickeled pigs foot/lips.  0 fast food restaurants!  1 Tee-ball game.  57 Snickers bars.

Nights spent behind churches, in parks, backyards, behind firestations, in alleys, on the 50 yard line of a football field, beside ponds, campgrounds, in the desert, in the mountains, under the stars, in strangers extra beds, in someones extra apt, in anothers’ guest house, covered in sand, under trees, in RV parks, on the side of the road, near railroad tracks, accompanied by chickens, listening to birds, dogs, cars, motorcycles, domestic disagreements, attacked by ants, bitten by mosquitoes and gnats.

(sigh) Man it was a great time!

Our finish line!

Final steps to the ocean

In the Atlantic Ocean!
