Phone rings. Texts messages come. ‘Where are you?’ …’Come see us’…’Dinner tonight?’…’Plans tomorrow?’
You know the feeling. That moment when it’s hard to think because actions just take over. Rekindling friendships, the first hug to family after many moons. The ‘how was it’ questions in the local grocery store. “Tell us stories!”
That, all of that and more. Added to motor transportation, constant music screaming from the radio and hardly a free second to sit down and think if that really just happened.
That’s where we’re at right now. It’s been great, comparably to life on a bike we’re moving at Shuttle Endeavor speed.
Back in Colorado, the mountains, blue grass music, big horn sheep, elk, packs of coyotes, snow and time to think. Backpacks re-packed. Off to six national parks, with hiking shoes and without bicycles!
