A walk into a Giants land…strolling through the Needles district we couldn’t help but gasp, stop and look around 360 degrees.  Caves behind us, tall pillars of rock before us, a meadow with birds dropping in and out of next to us.  The wind creating the only earthly noise.  When we stop walking, all is quite and still.  Don’t let that fool you tho, this place was ALIVE.  We felt the pulse as we scurried and scrambled up rock faces along river beds.  The sun scortched us, attempted to dry us to the bone as we gently let our hands run across the smooth rocks we passed by, loving each sand particle that created this place.  We drank water from the few pools that have collected in the Spring rains
