Thinking: to remember and forget in seconds

Working again.  For 2 weeks.  Had an event last night.  Went something like this.

Train 25 excited college students.  Race to event location.  Reorganize in head, 1000 moving parts of event.  Meet student team again.  Prep 11 coach busses for copious amounts of excited freshman students.  Ensure very chill drivers that its only 2 hours of screaming, texting teens and maybe dancing.  Turn around and see 2000 students waiting in line 20 minutes before event.  Blink and its midway through the 2 hours.  Run.  Sweat.  Answer 37 phone calls. Run again.  One broken bus.  A line 5 wide of students wrapping along a sidewalk.  Run, escort buses through the crowd.   Questions:  what do we do?  A smile, ‘good question!’  Blink again and it’s over.  And I don’t really remember it.  Must be something like athletes in professional sports, IN-THE-ZONE.

Feels good to be surrounded by creativity.  Energy.  Enthusiasm.  Fast moving events and people.  How easy it is to forget the feeling of pressure situations, how awesome to re-remember!

In Atlanta.  It’s 4:30pm and I’m in bed.  Advice given to me before I started this 2 week tour:  Sit down, sleep or rest any chance you can, store it for the future.

Giddy up!
